Recently I have been sitting on my laptop listening to Little Dragon, Lykke Li, The Knife, Peter Bjorn and John and Jose Gonzalez, while trying to convert Swedish Krona to GBP, as I browse through the Monki website planning what I am going to get on my trip to Selfrigdes (as there is a Monki in there now. YAY!), snuggling under an Ikea blanket, eating Danish pastries.
I was thinking about my love for Scandinavian music when I discovered that the first song that I danced to was 'Saturday Night' by Whigfield, and I know where my love for the simplicity of Scandinavian furniture comes from, my mum. She has been dragging me in and out of Ikea to get her little bits and bobs, for years, tempting me with the promise of an Ikea meal, even now I look forward to them, (I know it's pretty sad), but it's the little things in life...
Anyway, hopefully my hunger for Scandinavian style, food, music... will be appeased as I am hoping to eventually stay with my aunt in Denmark, but until then I guess my laptop routine and Monki at Selfridges will have to do. :(
